Hue to DMZ by Car to visit Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) at your own pace. You will never feel rush, as this option is private and without a tour group. You can spend time as long as you want to explore the sites. Hue to DMZ by Car includes half day trip with about 6 hours to visit Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River and Vinh Moc Tunnels. For full day trip (about 10 hours), you will also visit Khe Sanh Combat Base (or Ta Con airbase). We can start our tour from Hue or Dong Ha city.

• Hien Luong Bridge:

Hien Luong Bridge is an important historical site, located on the 17th parallel, spanning the Ben Hai River, in Quang Tri province. This bridge was a temporary military boundary, dividing Vietnam into two regions for 21 years from 1954 to 1975, according to the Geneva Agreement.

• Ben Hai River:

The Ben Hai River is an important historical site in central Vietnam, famous for having served as the temporary military boundary dividing Vietnam into North and South along the 17th parallel under the Geneva Accords of 1954. The river and the Hien Luong Bridge that crosses it are a painful symbol of the country’s division during more than 20 years of war.

• Vinh Moc Tunnels:

Vinh Moc is a tunnel complex in Quang Tri, Vietnam. During the American War it was strategically located on the border of North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The tunnels were built to shelter people from the intense bombing of Son Trung and Son Ha communes in Vinh Linh county of Quang Tri Province in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone.

• Khe Sanh Combat Base:

Khe Sanh Combat Base is a famous historical military site in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam, which was the site of one of the fiercest and most iconic battles of the Vietnam War. Today, Khe Sanh Combat Base only remains a museum at former Tà Cơn Airport (Ta Con Air Base), where relics of the war are exhibited. Most of the former base is now overgrown by wilderness or coffee and banana plants.
