Hanoi, located in northern Vietnam, boasts a rich history dating back over 1,000 years. It showcases a blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and French influences. Renowned for its diverse culinary scene, city is considered a food lover’s paradise to taste Vietnamese cuisine. Hanoi is well-known for its street food, where you can savor an array of local specialties.

After breakfast, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel for a delightful day exploring Hanoi City. This city holds a unique charm despite not being the most modern. Its character lies in the captivating blend of Vietnamese, with Chinese, and French influences, all woven together with the city’s authentic and bustling local life within its old alleyways. Indulge in the delicious local street food for a taste of true Vietnamese flavors.

Our first stop is a tranquil escape to Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi dating back over 1500 years, nestled amidst the picturesque West Lake. Here, you’ll be greeted and admired by the sight of the ic 11-story lotus tower, a serene lotus pond, adding to the pagoda’s peaceful atmosphere.

Later, head to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, situated in Ba Dinh Square. Here, you will visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (serves as the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh – Uncle Ho). If you’re lucky, you might witness the solemn and precise military honor guard ceremony. (Please take note: 1. The Mausoleum closes from Sep 4th to Nov 4th every year).

Later, head to Hoan Kiem Lake, also well-known as the Restored Sword Lake, a shimmering jewel in the heart of Hanoi. Strolling along the lake’s perimeter, enjoying a view of the ic Turtle Tower. You will learn the history and reasom for the name of the lake before visiting to Ngoc Son Temple, dedicated to various Vietnamese historical figures and the revered Confucian scholar Van Xuong.

Next, immerse yourself in the local life in Hanoi ‘s Old Quarter of Vietnam with a unique and fun cyclo tour! For about an hour, you’ll travel at a slow and leisurely pace through the ic Old Quarter of Hanoi. A cyclo or rickshaw, a traditional three-wheeled bicycle taxi, will be your chariot for exploring the narrow streets. This is a fantastic way to experience the charming and vibrant atmosphere of Old Quarter before going back to your hotel for overnight.

Morning: between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM, our shuttle bus will pick you up in Hanoi’s Old Quarter area. Hop aboard and prepare to be whisked away on a scenic 2.5-hour drive (147 km) through Red River Delta to stunning Halong Bay!

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed aboard with a refreshing drink. Following a quick safety briefing from the cruise teamr, you can relax and savor a delicious lunch onboard while the boat starts cruising among amazing limestone islands.

Upon arrival, we will take an exciting 45-minute to 1-hour adventure on a traditional basket boat. Crafted from bamboo and woven palm leaves, these boats will take you on a journey through the heart of the water coconut forest. As you glide through the serene waterways, surrounded by lush coconut groves and vibrant rice paddies, soak in the peaceful atmosphere. After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hoi An and transfer to Hue City. The 121km journey takes about 3 hours driving. Along the way, you’ll drive along the beautiful coastal scenic route with Hai Van Pass, Lang Co Bay and Lap An Lagoon.

Upon arrival in Hue, we will visit the Mausoleum of Emperor Khai Dinh, built as the summer palace and final resting place for Emperor Khai Dinh. The mausoleum is renowned for its unique blended architectural of East and West. After breakfast, we will have exciting day to explore countryside of Hue on the most popular transportation of Vietnamese – Motorcycle/Scooter (you can choose to do by car/van if you do not like the motorbike).

Kick off your day with our scooter driver and local guide with a short drive Tiger-Elephant Arena. This was built in 1830 by Emperor Minh Mang (the 2^nd Emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty) and was used as Colosseum for fighting between elephants and tigers. This was the way of Emperor ‘s entertainment and for propaganda of Vietnamese Royal Family. You will have chance to walk around, learn some more stories of royalty from our guide when you visit the only Colosseum built in Vietnam.

Next. Our team of drivers will drive you through beautiful countryside and village of Hue. We arrive at a small village named Thuy Thanh; area is famous for agriculture museum and Thanh Toan Covered Bridge. Here, our local guide will explain more about agriculture life of Vietnamese farmers before strolling around to see the covered bridge and local market nearby.

Continue our drive to unique fishing village named Dam Chuon. Located in Tam Giang Lagoon, Dam Chuon is known as untouched area for foreign tourists. Here, you can see beautiful, peaceful fishing village and experience real life of local fishermen. We will take the boat and go to water to do fishing with traditional way from Net and Trap. After that, continue to stilt house family-run restaurant to try authentic local dishes of the area.

This morning, you will be transferred by car to Phu Bai International Airport for a 1.5-hour-flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, our local guide/driver will welcome you and escort you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of today is free time for you to explore the city on your own.

After breakfast, take about 1.5-hour drive, you will arrive at famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the intricate tunnel system, which consists of narrow passageways, hidden entrances, and underground chambers. Our tour guide will share more insights into the daily life of the Cu Chi locals, guerrilla fighters and their remarkable ability to survive within the tunnels. You will have chance to crawl through sections of the tunnels and see firsthand the kitchens, living quarters, and other essential spaces built underground. After the Cu Chi, we return to Ho Chi Minh City for a half-day city tour. Our first stop in the afternoon is the Reunification Palace, also called the Independence Palace, a captivating architectural marvel that once served as the residence of the South Vietnamese President.

Continue our trip to Saigon Central Post Office, a majestic building constructed in the early 20th century, and famous Notre Dame Cathedral. Free evening today to enjoy some of the nightlife activities in Ho Chi Minh city.

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the famous Mekong River Delta at a relaxing pace. Located in southwestern Vietnam, this is a vast maze of rivers, canals, islands, and rice paddies formed by the Mekong River as it empties into the sea. Known as the “rice basket” of Vietnam, the Delta is a major agricultural hub, producing a significant portion of the country’s rice and fish.

Start driving from Ho Chi Minh City, you will pass through green rice fields and small villages to arrive in beautiful rural city of My Tho. Upon arrival, your first visit is unique Vinh Trang Pagoda built in the mid-19th century. The pagoda is renowned for its stunning architecture, showcasing a harmonious fusion of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Khmer influences. You will be amazed by the outstanding construction with meticulously carved columns with intricate details, and visits to the Statue of Maitreya Buddha, Statue of Amitabha Buddha, Reclining Buddha statue, and 7-story tower.

Then, head to the nearby My Tho pier to board a traditional Mekong Delta boat for a scenic cruise along the majestic river. Gliding past the Turtle, Dragon, and Phoenix Islets, we arrive at the enchanting Unicorn Islet. Delve deeper into the heart of delta with a rowing on a traditional sampan boat through narrow waterways lined with coconut palms. Stop at a local bee farm to savor honey tea, taste local fruits, and immerse yourself in traditional music performed by the villagers. Enjoy a local lunch with traditional Vietnamese dishes.

After lunch, take a boat trip to province of Ben Tre, known as the coconut kingdom, a charming town famous for its coconut plantations and fruit orchards. Enjoy a leisurely bike ride through the countryside and villages to learn about how coconut products are produced in the region. Visit a coconut candy workshop to learn how locals make for their daily life and sample the best popular product of region. Then get back to the transportation and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

After breakfast, we transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Airport for a 1.5-hour flight to Siem Reap. When you arrive at Siem Reap International Airport (SAI), our tour guide and driver will welcome you at the exit and then escort you to the hotel in downtown Siem Reap.

In the afternoon, we will take a boat tour in the Tonle Sap Lake, visiting the floating village of Kampong Khleang. Known as the biggest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, Tonle Sap is home to numerous floating villages. These are unique for their stilted houses, which are built on platforms supported by wooden poles or tethered to boats, adjusting to the lake’s changing water levels. The villages also have floating schools, shops, and even churches.

Enjoy a about 1.5 hours boat ride to observe the residents’ unique lifestyle and the region’s rich biodiversity. And if it happens to be dusk, you will appreciate the beautiful sunset on Tonle Sap Lake.

Renowned as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Angkor Archaeological Park is a vast and impressive temples complex. Area spans roughly 400 square kilometers and contains the magnificent remains of the various capitals of the Khmer Empire, which flourished from the 9th to the 15th centuries. Today, our guide will take you for exploration of some of the most iconic temples and structures within the park, including the majestic Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom complexes, and the enchanting Ta Prohm.

Start your exploration early with a sunrise trip in Angkor Wat (The sun usually rises between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM, depending on the time of year). You should be prepared with dress code that covers shoulders and knees, and our guide will walk you to the best viewing spots to watch the sunrise behind the iconic towers, taking some amazing photos. After sunrise, we head back to your hotel for breakfast and a short rest.

After breakfast, head to Temple of Angkor Thom, the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. It was established in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII in the late twelfth century. Proceed to the Bayon Temple, this is known for its numerous smiling faces carved into its towers. Each of its 54 Gothic towers is decorated with 216 gargantuan smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara. The temple also features 1.2km of extraordinary bas-reliefs, incorporating more than 11,000 figures. Take your time to marvel at these detailed bas-reliefs, then have a short walk to the Baphuon Temple. This temple, which predates Angkor Thom, was originally a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva.

Next, visit the Terrace of the Elephants, that was used by King Jayavarman VII as a viewing platform to observe his victorious returning army. You’ll find it adorned with carvings of elephants and many other animals, providing excellent photo opportunities. Continue to the nearby Terrace of the Leper King. This 7-meter-high laterite platform features multiple tiers of meticulously carved walls depicting nagas (serpents), demons, and various mythical beings.

Later, continuing to Ta Prohm (Jungle Temple), was also featured in the movies “Tomb Raider” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, which adds to its popularity. After exploring Ta Prohm, enjoy a relaxing lunch at one of the local restaurants nearby.

In the afternoon, we will return to Angkor Wat for a more detailed tour of this iconic temple. Uniquely designed with a westward orientation, Angkor Wat is best viewed in the afternoon light. Angkor Wat, the largest monument of the Angkor group and the best preserved, is an architectural masterpiece. Its perfection in composition, balance, proportions, relief, and sculpture make it one of the finest monuments in the world. After the tour, we will drive you back to your hotel. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

After breakfast, it’s time to depart for a journey towards Phnom Penh, the capital city. This drive takes approximately 6 hours. The drive through the Cambodian countryside offers a chance to enjoy beautiful scenery, with rice paddies, traditional wooden houses, and the occasional water buffalo. We will make a stop at the Skuon Market, locally known as “Spiderville”, renowned for its market where fried spiders are a delicacy. This unique stop offers a chance to stretch your legs and sample local cuisine. If spiders don’t appeal to you, other local fruits and snacks are also available.

Once you arrive in Phnom Penh, check into your hotel and take some time to rest after the long drive. Our recommendation for Free Time is a leisurely walk along the Riverside (Sisowath Quay). This area is lively in the evening and is lined with cafes, bars, and restaurants.

After breakfast, we start our day with a visit to the Royal Palace, where the King of Cambodian people resides. This is a stunning example of Khmer architecture, featuring its classic Khmer roofs and ornate gilding. It’s a striking structure near the riverfront, bearing a remarkable likeness to its counterpart in Bangkok. Visit the Silver Pagoda, located within the palace grounds. Here you can find many national treasures including gold and jeweled Buddha statues. One of the most notable is the “Emerald Buddha.”

We then have a short walk to the National Museum of Cambodia. This museum is a home to the world’s largest collection of Khmer art, including sculptures, ceramics, and ethnographic objects. The beautiful terracotta structure itself is worth visiting, and it offers a serene courtyard. Enjoy optional lunch at one of local restaurants nearby and a short break.

In the afternoon, we visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former high school that was converted into a brutal detention center (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge. Later, our guide will take you for a short drive to the Choeung Ek Genocidal Center, or the Killing Fields, where you will witness a memorial stupa filled with skulls commemorates the victims of this dark period.

We then continue to explore the Central Market (Psar Thmei), an Art Deco landmark in the heart of Capital city – Phnom Penh. This market is an excellent spot for shopping offering clothes, jewelry, souvenirs, and electronics, and for trying local snacks while observing daily life of Cambodian.

Conclude your day of adventure with a Boat Cruise along the Mekong river. With views of the popular Phnom Penh riverside and the skyline, this is a chance for you to relax at the end of the day and enjoy a unique view of the beautiful city.

Breakfast is in your hotel, then free time for your exploration in Phnom Penh before our guide/driver transfers you to airport to take a flight for Vientiane. Upon your arrival at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane, our tour guide/driver will welcome you at the exit and escort you to your hotel in downtown Vientiane for check-in. Take some time to rest and prepare for your exploration of Vientiane with your guide the following day.

• Patuxai Monument/Victory Gate of Vientiane (entrance fee required): This is a war monument (at the northeastern end of the Lane Xang Ave.), inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, offers a panoramic observation deck on the top floor. You can take in breathtaking views of Vientiane city, the surrounding plains, and even catch a glimpse of Thailand across the Mekong River on a clear day. Enjoy a stroll around the fountain and Patuxai Park to experience local life.
• The Lao National Museum (Mon to Fri. 8 AM–12 PM,1–4 PM), formerly known as the Lao Revolutionary Museum. This museum offers you a glimpse into Laos’s history and culture.
• Discover the vibrant Vientiane Night Market, where you can sample delicious and authentic Lao dishes and browse through a variety of handicrafts.

After breakfast, start our tour with 1 hour drive to Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuan. This is a unique sculpture park that showcases sculptures depicting figures from both Buddhism and Hinduism. Within the park, you will encounter more than 200 huge Buddha statues in various poses, as well as Hindu deities like Indra riding a three-headed elephant. You will also witness massive reclining Buddha that stretches an impressive 40 meters in length. The park is designed for exploration; you can follow the pathways past the diverse sculptures.

After that, head to Pha That Luang, known as the Golden Stupa. This is a prominent landmark in Laos and a masterpiece of Laotian architecture. This golden stupa rises about more than 45 meters, with a square base that tapers to a spire. It is revered as a sacred pilgrimage site for Buddhists, believed to house relics of the Buddha. The monument really showcases intricate carvings and sculptures, featuring naga (serpent) figures and lotus flower motifs, which carry significant cultural and religious symbolism. A visit to Pha That Luang will make you feels like stepping back in time, especially during the That Luang Festival (Boun That Luang), Vientiane’s most important Buddhist festival.

In the afternoon, you can have a visit to Cope Visitor Centre. The Centre showcases the impact of unexploded ordnance (UXO) left behind from the Vietnam War and the life-changing work done by COPE (Cooperative Orthotic Prosthetic Enterprise) to assist those affected. After that, you can go on with temple hop. This morning, enjoy some more free time before our guide/driver transfers you to railway station. Then, you will catch your 2 hours train trip to Luang Prabang, the former Royal Capital of Laos and a designated World Heritage City. Luang Prabang is well-known for its abundance of Buddhist temples and monasteries. Today, you will have a chance to join Alms Giving Ceremony (Optional) before Temple Hop Tour (City Walking) at Luang Prabang Old Town (World Heritage Site), visiting Royal Palace Museum, Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Xiengthong.

This morning, you can rise early to join an Alms Giving ceremony (Optional; wake up before dawn). The daily alms-giving ceremony in Luang Prabang provides foreign tourists a fascinating insight into Laotian Buddhism. This serene ceremony takes place at dawn, usually around 5.00 am to 6:15 am, coinciding with sunrise. By offering food to the Buddhist monks, believers aim to accumulate merit, which is believed to improve their future lives, and bring them good karma. Observing the procession of the monks silently collecting alms offers a glimpse into the spiritual life of Laos, showcasing a centuries-old tradition that remains an integral part of Laotian culture.

Travel Tips if you like to participate Alms Giving Ceremony:

• Before attending the ceremony, you can purchase some offerings, usually sticky rice, from local vendors and participate by offering food to the monks. Please tell your local guide a day in advance if you wish to make an offering so your guide can prepare some food for you to hand over to the Buddhist monks. If you do not wish to make an offer, please keep an appropriate distance and then observe the ritual in silence.
• It is important to dress decently (cover your shoulders, chest and legs) and follow the lead of the locals when offering alms. Show respect throughout the arms giving ceremony.

Then, continue to the nearby Morning Market in Luang Prabang (open from around 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM) to experience breakfast like the locals do. The market is a haven for trying delicious and unique Laos local food. Indulge in pre-cooked snacks such as sticky rice, noodle soups, and grilled meats, allowing yourself to savor the flavors of the region.

Next, we will visit the Royal Palace Museum (National Museum, opened 8-11:30am, and 1:30-4pm). The Museum was once searved as the residence of Laotian kings, offering you a unique opportunity to witness how the Laotian royalty lived. The palace showcases a captivating blend of traditional Laotian architecture and French colonial architecture. The exhibits include a wide array of religious objects, royal possessions, weapons, and everyday items, providing a fascinating glimpse into Laotian culture and history.

After that, we will pay a visit to Wat Mai across from Mount Phousi, built in the late 18th century. It’s one of very few temples that escapes destruction throughout Lao history. This makes it a sacred place for Laotians and a significant landmark in Luang Prabang.

In the afternoon, we continue to Wat Aham, the temple holds significance for both animists and Buddhists.  You can step inside the chapel of Wat Aham to discover vibrant murals adorning the walls.
